INTERNATIONAL UNION OF RAIDIO SCIENCE (URSI)
Introduction
The International Union of Radio Science (URSI) was created in 1919. The objectives of the URSI are:
-to promote and organise research requiring international cooperation, and the discussion and dissemination of the results of this research;
-to encourage the adoption of common methods of measurement, and the inter comparison and standardization of the measuring instrumets used in scientific work;
-to stimuilate and coordinate studies of (i) the scientific aspects of telecommunications using electromagnetic waves, guided and unguided; (ii) the generation and detection of these weaves and the processing of the signals embedded in them
