Collaborative Research Projects and Joint Seminar in
Disaster Prevention under
INSA-JSPS (Tokyo) Programme |

Proposals are
invited from Indian researchers interested in working jointly with
the Japanese researchers in Coastal hazard preparedness, including
earthquakes and tsunamis under the broad area of Disaster Prevention
and also organizing a joint workshop / seminar in India within the
broad theme.

Call for Submitting
Research Projects on History of Science |
| The Academy supports
research projects on History of Science under the guidance of the
Indian National Commission for History of Science. Through this
programme an expert can take up source and theme oriented studies by
compiling important sources for study, translation of important
scientific and technical works and making critical assessment in the
areas like mathematics, astronomy, medicine, architecture, product,
life and works of eminent scientists, institutions, science and
societies etc. relating to Indian science and technology in proper
historical perspective.The Investigators are offered support for
research staff and moderate contingency. In special cases
Superannuated Investigators are also provided honorarium with other
facilities for full time research. Interested researchers may

Deputation of Indian Scientists Abroad under
Bilateral Exchange Programme 2006-2007
| Applications are invited
from outstanding scientists/ researchers holding Ph.D degree and
having regular positions in recognised S&T institutions/universities
and actively engaged in research in frontline areas for deputation
abroad during the year 2006-2007 in all fields of Science including
Engineering, Medical & Agriculture for short term visits (2-4 weeks
for senior scientists) and long term visits (3-6 months for
junior/younger scientists) under the Scientific Bilateral Exchange
Programme with overseas Academies/ Organisations in Brazil, China,
Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Kyrghyz Republic, South
Korea, Nepal, The Netherlands, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Slovak
Republic, Republic of Slovenia, Ukraine and UK. The detailed
guidelines and Application form may be obtained from the Academy by
sending a self addressed stamped (Rs.10/-) envelope marked “Exchange
Programme” to the Assistant Executive Secretary (Inter Academy) or
may be downloaded from internet site http://www.insaindia.org. The
application duly completed and endorsed by the Head of the

INSA-JSPS Joint Research Project Programme-2006 |
| The Indian National Science
Academy (INSA) invites the Research Project Proposals from the
Indian scientists/researchers formulated jointly with the Japanese
scientists/researchers. The proposals will be subject to review both
by the Indian and Japanese experts. The funds for the research
projects will have to be arranged by the concerned
scientists/researchers from the ongoing programme of their
institute/ organization or from other funding agencies. INSA and
Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) will only
fecilitate and support the visit of the scientists/researchers
involved in the project from both the sides during the stipulated
period. The focussed 2 years research proposal starting from the
year 2006 in all areas of Natural Sciences including Engineering,
Medicine & Agricultural Sciences should be submitted to Academy by
October 15, 2005. The detailed guidelines and the application form
for the project proposal may be obtained from the Academy by sending
a self addressed envelope marked “INSA-JSPS JOINT RESEARCH PROJECT
PROGRAMME” to the Indian National Science Academy, Bahadur Shah
